This page explains how to delete your English Madhyam account and what happens to your data when you do. English Madhyam is published by English Madhyam on Google Play as com.education.english_madhyam.

How to delete your account

Log in to your English Madhyam account on englishmadhyam.in using the phone number or Google account you registered with.
Open My Profile from the account menu at the top right of the page.
Scroll to Delete my account and click it.
Read the confirmation screen, tick the confirmation box and click Permanently delete my account.

Your account is deleted straight away. There is no waiting period and no recovery window, so please be certain before you confirm.

What is deleted

The following personal information is erased from our records immediately and permanently:

Your name
Your phone number
Your email address
Your date of birth
Your profile photo
Your city and state
Your Google sign-in link, if you signed in with Google

Once this is done you can no longer sign in to English Madhyam, either on this website or in the mobile app. Any device already signed in to the app is signed out. Your phone number and email address are released, so you are free to register again later as a new user.

What is kept, and for how long

Exam attempts and scores are kept, but they are no longer linked to you or to any personal detail. They remain only as anonymous records used for question statistics and leaderboards.
Payment and invoice records for any subscription you purchased are retained for as long as Indian accounting and tax law requires us to keep them. We cannot delete these on request. They contain the transaction amount and reference number, not your contact details.

If you have an active subscription

Deleting your account ends any active subscription immediately. The remaining validity is lost and no refund is issued. Please read our Refund policy before you continue.
